Augustus Martis is a mythic-horror author and medically retired U.S. Navy veteran from Tennessee, where limestone caves, kudzu-choked woods, and small-town graveyards keep his imagination fed. His debut novel The Bitter Question launches readers into the Bitter Verse—a world where memory is currency and even the divine can rot.

When he isn’t writing about decaying gods, Augustus can be found streaming as a VTuber on YouTube and Twitch, pursuing a Computer Science degree, haunting used-book shops for unique finds, or teaching community workshops on world-building and finding your writing voice.

He shares a home with two rescue dogs, too many anime and video-game figures, and an ever-growing collection of found coins that may—or may not—belong on an Oracle’s altar.
